Quinn Named GNAC Baseball Player of the Week
WINTHROP, Mass. – Junior outfielder Ryan Quinn (Middletown, Conn.) of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) baseball team has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon in its 10th weekly report of the 2025 season. This marks the first career weekly conference honor for Quinn and the sixth weekly award for the USJ baseball team this season.
Quinn excelled at the plate, helping the Blue Jays to a 2-1 record over three games this past week. The Middletown native collected nine hits across 14 at-bats, good for a .643 batting average, registering multiple hits in all three contests. Two of his nine hits went for extra bases, producing a .786 slugging percentage, while he drove in four RBIs and scored three runs.
Quinn began his scorching week at the plate with a 2-for-5 performance, including one RBI, in an 8-7 come-from-behind USJ victory over non-conference opponent Western New England University on Tuesday. He followed that up with a 3-for-4 outing, including a double, two RBIs, and two runs scored in a 14-1 home GNAC victory over Colby-Sawyer College. He closed out the week going 4-for-5 with a double, an RBI, and a run scored in a 9-4 non-conference setback to Clark University at Dunkin' Park on Friday.
Through 36 games this season, Quinn owns the fourth-best batting average on the team at .315, collecting 40 hits in 127 official at-bats. He is tied for the team lead with 17 extra-base hits, including a team- and GNAC-best seven triples, along with 10 doubles. Additionally, he has driven in 25 RBIs and scored 23 runs.

Quinn and the Blue Jays return to the diamond today, Monday, April 28, for their final GNAC games of the 2025 regular season, visiting intrastate and conference rival Albertus Magnus College for a doubleheader. The first pitch of game one between the Blue Jays and Falcons is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at Rochford Field in Hamden, Conn.
