Swimming & Diving Named CSCAA Spring Scholar All-America Teams
RICHMOND, Va. - The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) men's and women's swimming and diving teams have been selected by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as Spring Scholar All-America Teams, it was announced by the association. The men and women posted spring team GPA's of 3.46 and 3.38, respectively, to earn the honors. In total, 718 teams earned the honor.
Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) counterparts Saint Joseph's College of Maine College joined USJ in receiving the honor on both the men's and women's sides. Pomona-Pitzer lead all of Division III on the women's side, combining for a GPA of 3.88. California Institute of Technology paced the men's teams in Division III, finishing the spring semester with a 3.86 GPA. In addition to leading Division III, the Sage Hens and Beavers also finished with the highest team GPAs in the entire country.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
