Patti Sciglimpaglia Named GNAC Rookie of the Week

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – University of Saint Joseph freshman Patti Sciglimpaglia (Norwalk, Conn.) was named Great Northeast Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week for the period ending April 7, it was announced Monday.

Sciglimpaglia helped pitch and hit the Blue Jays to a 5-3 record on the week. The rookie batted .480 (12-for-25) with four doubles, six runs scored, six RBI and currently has a nine-game hitting streak. On the mound, she pitched to a 1.26 ERA in 16.2 innings with 13 strikeouts and two walks. She had complete game victories over Albertus Magnus and Emmanuel and has won her past five starts.
