The USJ experience in her words
Class size and teachers: "I feel prepared as a former student of USJ because our class sizes were small and the teachers really worked with you closely. They also made sure you as the student were getting all the help you needed in order to succeed. You also get to know them on a personal level as well. I don’t think that you get that kind of attention elsewhere."
Athletics: "I felt that the coaches really understood that academics were before sports. They worked with you closely if you had study tables or any commitments dealing with your academics. Athletics really helped me build by time management skills while I was at USJ. I knew I had to plan ahead before practice because I knew personally I would be exhausted after a swim meet or a practice. I also enjoyed the close-knit family feel of being part of a team. It was a way to build friendships and to get to know more people on campus."
The Campus: "I felt that the community of USJ is close in which everyone knows one another. You end up growing as a community because you are taking classes with these other students on campus. It brings a sense of unity on to the campus, which I really enjoyed."
My Message: "My advice to incoming students would be to get the best out of USJ. You create your own path and therefore join clubs and network with those around you. Get to know your professors as well as join a sports team and gain skills in time management, organization or try something new out of the ordinary."
