Freshman attack Kailey Krusewski (Newington, Conn.) added her first of the game early, extending her season total to 21 goals. LeGault's goal was her 15th of the season, while a pair from Krusewski pushed her total to 23 goals already in 2026.
Lasell seized momentum in the third quarter, scoring five times to just one for USJ, and built a 13–9 lead after three periods. USJ's lone goal of the frame came from sophomore midfielder Kaylynn Lapointe (Bristol, Conn.), her third of the season.
The Blue Jays continued to battle in the fourth quarter, as junior midfielder Paige Rieger (New Fairfield, Conn.) converted a free‑position opportunity to trim the deficit to 14–10, marking her second goal of the season. Lasell answered shortly thereafter to account for the final 15–10 margin.
