Romer Headlines CNE Men's Tennis Year-End Awards

BEVERLY, Mass. -  The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) men's tennis team saw three players named to the Conference of New England (CNE) All-Conference teams it was announced by the CNE front office during its unveiling of the 2025 year-end awards Monday afternoon. Junior Karol Romer (Warsaw, Poland) highlighted the list of honorees, receiving All-First Team accolades in singles play, while also garnering All-Second Team for doubles play, alongside freshman Manuel Hernandez-Plaza (Dorado, Puerto Rico ). Sophomore Rodrigo Torres (Lima, Peru) also recieved All-CNE recognition, being named to the All-Second Team for singles play. Junior Mateus Silvestre (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) rounded out the honorees for USJ by being named to the CNE Community Service Team. The awards are voted upon by the league's ten head coaches.

About the Conference of New England
Originally founded in 1984 as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), and reconstituted as the Conference of New England (CNE) in 2024, the CNE is an NCAA Division III athletic conference composed of 10 full member and five associate member institutions throughout the New England region. Its membership aims to provide student-athletes with a positive experience in their pursuit of excellence through high academic standards, quality competition and a meaningful student life. The Conference administers championships in 20 intercollegiate sports.
