SEASON BY SEASON
2020-21: O'Neill's play improved as this abbreviated season went on, scoring 17 points in two of the final three games. He finshed third on the team at just over 13 points per game, and was tied for third at nearly five rebounds per game, including a career-high 10 against Babson. The Blue Jays finished 2-2 on the season.

2019-20: O'Neill was one of just two players to start in every game this season (29), and made 21 three pointers, second only to Delshawn Jackson Jr. The 6'5 guard also grabbed just under five rebounds per game, second best on the squad. The Blue Jays got the better of their in-state rivals in year two, defeating Albertus Magnus, 88-84 to win their first GNAC Championship. Saint Joseph won 25 straight games (2nd longest in DIII), was as high as 14th in the national rankings, and played in its first-ever NCAA Tournament game, falling 78-74 to Hobart.

2018-19: O’Neill became the first men’s basketball player in school history to score 20 points in a game, dropping a career-high 25 points off the bench in the team’s first-ever game vs. William Paterson (11/9), which the Blue Jays won, 79-74. He averaged nearly 10 points and just over four rebounds per game in all 28 games (14 starts), and finished 3rd on the team in total rebounds (118). The Blue Jays went 7-4 when O'Neill scored in double figures. USJ made it all the way to the GNAC Championship in year one, before losing to in-state rival Albertus Magnus, 81-77.

Before USJ: Prior to being a Blue Jay, O’Neill was a Bearcat at The Hotchkiss School, an independent boarding school in Lakeville, Conn. O’Neill was a team captain his senior year for the boys' basketball team. He was also a 1,000-point scorer at Litchfield High School (1,021) where he was a member of the boys' varsity basketball team for four seasons. O’Neill made the All-State Team twice (2015-2016), was an honorable mention for the NEPSAC Class A All-New England Team in 2017, and made the NEPSAC Class A All-New England Third Team in 2018. O’Neill was school treasurer at LHS from 2014-2016.
