Baseball Powers Past Nichols at Home Wednesday Afternoon, 9-2

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) baseball team pounded out 11 hits and sophomore starting pitcher Kaden Murphy (Woodstock, Conn.) tossed five innings of three-hit ball with seven strikeouts and earned the win, as the Blue Jays defeated the visiting Nichols College Bison, 9-2, in non-conference action Wednesday afternoon at the USJ Baseball Field in West Hartford, Conn. With the result, the Blue Jays improved to 3-1 overall on the season, while the Bison were handed their first loss of the season and fell to 2-1.
