Women's Cross Country Wraps Up 2022 Regular Season Slate at Connecticut College Invitational

WATERFORD, Conn.  The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) women's cross country team rounded out its 2022 regular season slate, competing in the Connecticut College Invitational hosted by Connecticut College on a picturesque Saturday afternoon in Waterford, Conn.

Meet: Connecticut College Invitational 

Result: No team score 

Location: Harkness Memorial State Park (Waterford, Conn.) 

HOW IT HAPPENED 

  • Faith Shores (West Simsbury, Conn.) paced the Blue Jays for the second consecutive meet, running a 6k time of 29:00.90 to finish in 88th. 

  • Jaelynn Solorzano (Wallingford, Conn.) was the next Blue Jays to cross the line, finishing in 108th after posting a 6K time of 35:44.90 

  • Julie Robinson (Newington, Conn.) trailed closely behind, rounding out the USJ lineup, recording a time of 36:35.80, to place 109th. 

  • Westfield State took home the team title, tallying 74 points on the afternoon.  

UP NEXT 

The women's cross country team begins postseason play with the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championships on Saturday, October 29. Hosted by Saint Joseph College of Maine, the championships are set to take place at the SJC Cross Country Trail in Standish, Maine.
