Women's Swimming & Diving Splits Double-Dual Meet With AMC and CSC During Senior Day
WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) women's swimming and diving team split its double-dual meet against Albertus Magnus College (AMC) and Colby-Sawyer College (CSC) on Sunday afternoon inside the Bruyette Natatorium in West Hartford during Senior Day. The Blue Jays took down the Falcons, 148-77, and narrowly fell to the Chargers, 124-119.

TOP PERFORMANCES
- 200 Yard Medley Relay – The team of Julianna Violette (Rocky Hill, Conn.), Gabriela Targonska (Newington, Conn.) Amy Mamica (Rocky Hill, Conn.) and Angelina Bernardi (Middlebury, Conn.) finished in second-place, posting a time of 2:08.00.
- 1000 Yard Free – Adelina Marcille (Waterford, Conn.) finished in second place with a time of 13:20.97, while teammate Emily Beyer (Prospect, Conn.) placed third in a time of 14:05.39
- 200 Yard Free – Mamica paced USJ in the 200 Yard Freestlye, finishing in second after posting a time of 2:16.68.
- 100 Yard Back – Violette lead the way for the Blue Jays, placing second with a time of 1:12.75, while Deanna Prescott (Rocky Hill, Conn.) followed closely behind, finishing in third with a time of 1:26.76
- 100 Yard Breaststroke – Norah Smith (Pelham, N.H.) was the lone Blue Jay in the event, finishing fourth with a time of 1:44.91
- 200 Yard Butterfly – Morgan Beebe (Ellington, Conn.) took home the gold, winning the event in a time of 3:00.45
- 50 Yard Free – Bernardi paced USJ in the event, finishing third with a time of 30.93.
- 1 Meter Diving – Chandler Douglas (North Haven, Conn.) finished in second after recording 158.95 points.
- 100 Yard Free – Beyer paced the Blue Jays, finishing fourth in a time of 1:09.65.
- 200 Yard Backstroke –Targonska won the second event of the day for USJ, hitting the wall in a time of 2:31.95
- 200 Yard Breaststroke –Bernardi made it back-to-back victories for USJ, taking home the gold with a time of 3:25.69.
- 500 Yard Free – Mamica and Marcille made it a USJ one-two finish, as Mamica won the event in a time of 6:13.91 while Marcille finished second in a time of 6:35.78.
- 100 Yard Butterfly – Targonska tallied a third place finishing, recording a time of 1:14.12 to lead the team.
- 200 Yard IM – Violette lead the Blue Jays, coming in second place after posting a time of 2:38.58.
- 200 Yard Free Relay– The team of Bernardi, Targonska, Violette and Mamica finished in second place with a combined time of 1:56.68
UP NEXT
The Blue Jays take a 17-day hiatus before returning to the pool for the Connecticut Cup on December 2 through December 3. The Connecticut Cup will be hosted by Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn.
