Women's Soccer Unveils 2026 Schedule
WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) women's soccer team and sixth-year head coach Jenna Kalwa have announced the schedule for the upcoming 2026 season. Highlighting the 16-game regular-season slate are eight home matches, which are set to be played on the USJ Soccer Field on the campus of USJ.
FULL 2026 WOMEN'S SOCCER SCHEDULE
The Blue Jays open the 2026 campaign on Tuesday, Sept. 1, hosting Roger Williams University at Trinity Health Stadium, home of Hartford Athletic, in downtown Hartford, before hitting the road for back-to-back non-conference contests. USJ first visits nearby Trinity College on Saturday, Sept. 5, before traveling to South Hadley, Mass., to take on Mount Holyoke College on Wednesday, Sept. 9.
Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play begins Saturday, Sept. 12, as the Blue Jays travel to Henniker, N.H., to face New England College at noon. USJ remains on the road the following weekend with a trip to Nashua, N.H., for a matchup against Rivier University on Saturday, Sept. 19, before making its 2026 home conference debut against reigning conference champion Emmanuel College on Tuesday, Sept. 22. The month concludes with a road contest at Simmons University on Saturday, Sept. 26, followed by a home meeting with Elms College on Wednesday, Sept. 30.
The Blue Jays begin October with a trip to Standish, Maine, to face Saint Joseph's College of Maine on Saturday, Oct. 3, before returning home for consecutive contests against Dean College on Tuesday, Oct. 6, and Colby-Sawyer College on Saturday, Oct. 10. USJ then heads to Newton, Mass., to battle Lasell University on Wednesday, Oct. 14, before returning home to host Regis College on Saturday, Oct. 17.
The final stretch of the regular season opens with a showdown at intrastate and GNAC rival Albertus Magnus College on Tuesday, Oct. 20 in New Haven, Conn. USJ then hosts Norwich University on Saturday, Oct. 24, before wrapping up the regular season at home against Mitchell College on Wednesday, Oct. 28.
The top eight teams in the conference standings will advance to the 2026 GNAC Women's Soccer Tournament, beginning with the quarterfinal round on Saturday, Oct. 31. The top four seeds will host quarterfinal contests, while the semifinals are scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 3, and will be hosted by the two highest remaining seeds. The GNAC Championship is slated for Saturday, Nov. 7, with the highest remaining seed serving as host.
The Blue Jays are coming off a 2025 season that saw the team advance to the GNAC postseason for the 25th consecutive season, finishing with a record of 6-11-1 overall. USJ entered the postseason as the No. 7 seed, falling to No. 2 seed Rivier University in the quarterfinals.
