WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - The University of Saint Joseph soccer team raced out to a quick start, but in the end settled for a 2-2 draw in double overtime with the Saint Joseph College of Maine Monks at home on Saturday afternoon. The draw is the first of the season for the Blue Jays as they move to 5-6-1 overall and 3-3-1 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action. The Monks are now 7-5-2 and 4-1-2 in league play.
Sophomore Sarah Palko (Southington, CT/Southington) and freshman Olivia Norton (Berlin CT/Berlin) both found the back of the net for the Blue Jays in the draw. Palko's goal was her second of the season, while Norton's marked the first of her career as a Blue Jay.
