They then make a non-conference stop at Wellesley College from the NEWMAC on Wednesday, March 13, before travelling to Colby-Sawyer College on Saturday, March 16 at 1:00 p.m. for another GNAC contest.
Saint Joseph then returns home to West Hartford for a pair of non-conference games on Tuesday, March 19 and Thursday, March 21. The Blue Jays host another NEWMAC opponent in Salve Regina University on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m., before welcoming New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) foe Ramapo College at 4:00 p.m. at the USJ Lacrosse Field.
The Blue Jays then make the short trip to New London, Conn. to face intrastate opponent Mitchell College on Saturday, March 23 for an 11:00 a.m. GNAC tilt, before hosting their first conference game of the season on Tuesday, March 26 versus Anna Maria College at 4:00 p.m. USJ remains at home, but steps away from conference play, to host Bard College out of the Liberty League on Thursday, March 28 at 4:00 p.m., before rounding out the opening month of action with a road game at intrastate and GNAC rival Albertus Magnus College on Saturday, March 30.
As the calendar flips over to April, the Blue Jays open the month with their non-conference finale, welcoming Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) opponent Wentworth to West Hartford on Thursday, April 4. USJ then heads to "The Ocean State" to battle against reigning GNAC champion Johnson & Wales University on Saturday, April 6 at 2:30 p.m., before the start of a four-game GNAC homestand.
The Blue Jays kickoff their longest homestand of the season on Tuesday, April 9 versus Dean College and then welcome Simmons University on Saturday, April 13. USJ will then play host to Lasell University on Tuesday, April 16, ahead of their final regular-season home game and Senior Day on Saturday, April 20 versus Elms College. Rounding out the 2024 regular-season slate is a GNAC road trip to Weston, Mass. to take on Regis College on Tuesday, April 23 at 7:00 p.m.
The top five teams in both the GNAC North and South Division standings at the conclusion of the regular season will advance to the 2024 GNAC Tournament. Postseason play begins with the Play-In round on Thursday, April 25 where the No. 4 North seed will host the No. 5 South seed and the No. 4 South seed will host the No. 5 North seed. The two winners of the Play-In advance to join the other six seeds and compete in the GNAC Quarterfinals on Saturday, April 27. The four quarterfinal winners move on to the GNAC Semifinals on Tuesday, April 30 and then the final two remaining teams after the semifinals meet in the GNAC Championship on Saturday, May 4.
Despite narrowly missing out on the GNAC Tournament in 2023 via a three-way tiebreaker, the Blue Jays had their best season in program history a year ago, finishing with an overall record of 10-7 and a 6-7 mark in GNAC play. USJ will look to build off of last year's momentum as it returns 10 players from a season ago, including 2023 GNAC Goalkeeper of the Year and All-GNAC First Team selection Colleen Stringer (Point Lookout, N.Y.).
