Ouellette Named to NEWBA Team of the Week
WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Senior forward Jordan Ouellette (Bristol, Conn.) of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) women's basketball team was selected to the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) All-Second Team, it was announced by association officials on Tuesday in its 10th weekly awards of the season. It marks the ninth career weekly NEWBA honor for Ouellette, the third for her this season, and the eighth for the Blue Jays.
Ouellette averaged a double-double for USJ during a perfect 2-0 week, scoring 15.5 points per game on an efficient 61.9 percent clip (13-of-21) while hauling in 10.5 rebounds per game. Started the week with 15 points, 10 rebounds and a block during a 70-49 road win at JWU. Rounded out the week by posting 16 points and 11 rebounds in a 72-49 victory at Elms.

The Blue Jays return to West Hartford to begin the final week of the regular season, hosting Lasell University tomorrow, Wednesday, February 14. Tipoff against the Lasers inside James A. Calhoun Gymnasium is set for 5:00 p.m.
