Basketball Beaten at MCLA

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Despite 26 points and nine rebounds from Heather Framski (Prospect, Conn.), the University of Saint Joseph dropped an 86-75 contest Friday at the Mass. College of Liberal Arts in a non-conference game.

MCLA is 4-3 and Saint Joseph heads into semester break at 5-2.

MCLA senior Lucy Tremblay scored a career-high 39 points and went over 1,000 for her career. MCLA led 46-34 at halftime and scored the first eight points of the second half to lead by 20.

Devon Diliberto (Waterbury, Conn.) scored 16 points for the Blue Jays and Brianna Ferraro (Waterbury, Conn.) added 15. Shauna Sullivan (Rocky Hill, Conn.) chipped in with nine rebounds.

Saint Joseph next plays Fri. Jan. 4, 2012 at Elms in a 7 p.m. match-up. The Blue Jays next home game is Thursday, Jan. 10 at 6 p.m. vs. Eastern Conn.
