Men's Cross Country Concludes Regular Season Slate at Connecticut College Invitational

WATERFORD, Conn.  The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) men's cross country team rounded out its 2022 regular season slate, competing in the Connecticut College Invitational hosted by Connecticut College on a picturesque Saturday afternoon in Waterford, Conn. The Blue Jays finished in 15th place on the day. Overall, the Blue Jays significantly improved upon on their 8K times from last week's Runnin' Monks Invitational. 

MEET INFORMATION 

Meet: Connecticut College Invitational 

Result: 15th of 15 (404 points) 

Location: Harkness Memorial State Park (Waterford, Conn.) 

HOW IT HAPPENED 

  • Braeden Laframboise (Southington, Conn.) paced the Blue Jays, crossing the line in a blistering 8K time of 27:22.20, a to finish in 28th place. 

  • Patrick O'Connor (Cheshire, Conn.) was the next Blue Jays to cross the line, finishing in 104th after posting a time of 31:37.90. 

  • Jared Rheault (Terryville, Conn.) was the third USJ finisher, recording a time of 33:41.90 to finish in 119th. 

  • Alfred Valero (Thomaston, Conn.) was next to cross the line for USJ, finishing in 124th after posting a time of 34:51.20 

  • Chamroeun Chhorn (Danbury, Conn.) rounded out the points finishers for the Blue Jays, crossing the line in a time of 41:30.30 to finish in 131st. 

  • Allegheny took home the team title, tallying 72 points. 

UP NEXT 

The men's cross country team begins postseason play with the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championships on Saturday, October 29. Hosted by Saint Joseph College of Maine, the championships are set to take place at the SJC Cross Country Trail in Standish, Maine.
