Laframboise Finishes Fifth, Leads Men's Cross Country at Runnin' Monks Invitational

STANDISH, Maine – Sophomore Braeden Laframboise (Southington, Conn.) recorded a fifth place finish to lead the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) men's cross country team to a fourth-place team result at the Runnin' Monks Invitational on the SJC Cross Country Trail in Standish, Maine this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Laframboise paced the Blue Jays, crossing the line in an 8K time of 28:32.5, a 5:44.5 mile pace to finish in fifth
  • Patrick O'Connor (Cheshire, Conn.) was the next Blue Jays to cross the line, finishing in 25th after posting a time of 32:55.0, which was a 6:37.3 mile pace.
  • Jared Rheault (Terryville, Conn.) was the third USJ finisher, recording a time of 35:02.0 to finish in 32nd.
  • Alfred Valero (Thomaston, Conn.) was next to cross the line for USJ, finishing in 34th after posting a time of 38:41.5
  • Luke Alvarez (West Hartford, Conn.) rounded out the points finishers for the Blue Jays, crossing the lien in a time of 43:22.9 to finish in 37th.
  • Maine-Farmington took home the team title, tallying 24 points. 

UP NEXT

The men's cross country returns to action next Saturday, October 15 for the Connecticut College Invitational. Taking place at the Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford, Conn., the action is set to get underway at 1:00 p.m.
