Bio
Craig Davidson, who was named the first head men's tennis coach in USJ history prior to the Blue Jays debut season in 2022, enters his fourth season as Head Men's Tennis Coach at USJ in 2025-26. As a head coach, Davidson has made the playoffs in every season and has posted a 27-27 record at the helm of the Blue Jays.
During his three seasons with the team, Davidson has coached five All-Conference members, including 2025 All-Conference of New England (CNE) First Team honoree Karol Romer, ten Conference Player of the Weeks, ten Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar Athletes, four Conference All-Academic members and two College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honorees.
Davidson has coached adult and junior teams for the United States Tennis Association (USTA), and spent a year as the head men's tennis coach at John Jay College in New York City. While at John Jay in 2009-10, Davidson led the Bloodhounds to a 10-4 overall record and 6-2 mark in City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) play. He also guided them to the CUNYAC Semifinals that year, and saw five of his student-athletes earn CUNYAC All-Conference honors. Two of his players were named Academic All-Americans.
In addition to his college coaching, Davidson also served as a Tennis Professional at the Enfield Tennis Club and Suffield Country Club, and as the Head Pro at Litchfield Country Club and the JCC Swim/Tennis Club. He is also currently the founder and owner of LOVE TENNIS LLC and is the Program Director of the ACEing Autism West Hartford/USJ program. In addition, Davidson is also currently in his third year as a tennis pro at Magic Lincer Tennis Club in Manchester.
A West Hartford native and graduate of nearby Hall High School, Davidson was a top-10 USTA New England Junior tennis player from 1990-98 and ranked in the top-120 nationally. He was also a singles champion in the 1997 CIAC Class L Boys Tennis State Tournament and was recruited out of high school to play Division I collegiate tennis.
