Albert, Pennell Headline GNAC Year-End Awards for Men's Swimming & Diving
WINTHROP, Mass. - Head coach Alexandra Albert and freshman diver Henry Pennell (Bellows Falls, Vt.) collected major honors, headlining eight from the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) men's swimming & diving team who were recognized by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) in its 2026 year-end awards announcement Tuesday afternoon. Albert was named the 2026 GNAC Coach of the Year, while Pennell was selected as the 2026 GNAC Diver of the Year.
In addition to the major awards, seven Blue Jays earned All-Conference honors, including one who was also named to the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team. After earning All-Conference recognition in both one-meter and three-meter diving, Pennell headlined the group of student-athletes that were honored by the conference. Sophomores Nate Brasky (Madison, Conn.), Aiden Hebb (Waterbury, Conn.), Viktor Orzolek (Newington, Conn.), and Chris Capen (Wilbraham, Mass.), as well as freshmen Kyle Januszewski (North Haven, Conn.) and Josh Desyr (Stamford, Conn.), were each named All-Conference. In addition to his All-Conference recognition, Brasky earned a spot on the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
