Men's Swimming & Diving Drops Dual Meet to Clark on Saturday
WORCESTER, Mass. - The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) Men's swimming and diving team dropped a tight dual meet to Clark University (MA), 119-118, Saturday afternoon inside the Kneller Athletic Center Pool in Worcester, Mass.
TOP PERFORMANCES
- 200 Yard Medley Relay – The team of sophomores Aiden Hebb (Waterbury, Conn.), Chris Capen (Wilbraham, Mass.), Nate Brasky (Madison, Conn.), and freshman Kyle Januszewski (North Haven, Conn.) won the event for the Blue Jays, combining for a time of 1:47.36.
- 1000 Yard Free – Sophomore Viktor Orzolek (Newington, Conn.) won the event, finishing with a time of 12:36.25.
- 200 Yard Free – Hebb won the event for USJ, recording a first place time of 1:54.46.
- 50 Yard Free - Freshman Chris Morris (Weatogue, Conn.) recorded a third place finish with a time of 25.06 seconds.
- 100 Yard Free - Morris recorded a fourth place finish, touching the wall in 55.24 seconds.
- 200 Yard Back - Capen won the event, tallying a time of 2:12.14.
- 200 Yard Breaststroke - Hebb won his second individual event of the day, finshing with a time of 2:18.26.
- 100 Yard Back - Capen paced USJ, finishing in second with a time of 1:00.21.
- 100 Yard Breaststroke - Brasky won the event after posting a time of 1:08.29.
- 200 Yard Butterfly - Januszewski was the lone Blue Jay in the event, finishing with a time of 2:21.06.
- 1 Meter Diving - Freshman Henry Pennell (Bellows Falls, Vt.) continued the winning ways for the Blue Jays, finishing in first place with a total score of 179.85.
- 3 Meter Diving - Pennell, the lone competitor in the event, recorded a total score of 158.90.
- 200 Yard IM - Hebb captured his third first place finish of the day, posting a time of 2:08.18.
- 500 Yard Free – Brasky finished in third after recording a time of 5:59.10.
- 100 Yard Butterfly - Morris finished in fourth place, tallying a time of 1:09.78.
- 200 Free Relay - The team of Januszewski, Orzolek, Brasky, and Morris finished in second after combining for a time of 1:39.81.
UP NEXT
The Blue Jays return home to the Bruyette Natatorium for Senior Day on Saturday, Jan. 17, hosting Eastern Connecticut State University in a dual meet, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
