Men's Soccer Announces 2026 Schedule

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) men's soccer team and ninth-year head coach Paul Wright have announced the schedule for the upcoming 2026 season. Highlighting the 15-game regular-season slate are nine home matches, which are set to be played on the USJ Soccer Field on the campus of USJ.

FULL 2026 MEN'S SOCCER SCHEDULE

The Blue Jays officially kick off the 2026 season on Tuesday, September 1, hosting Springfield College of the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) at Trinity Health Stadium, home of Hartford Athletic, in downtown Hartford. USJ then makes its USJ Soccer Field debut on Friday, September 4, welcoming crosstown foe the University of Hartford of the Conference of New England (CNE), before rounding out a three-game opening homestand against local foe Trinity College of the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) on Wednesday, September 9.

USJ then begins its quest for a third-straight Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) championship, opening conference play on the road in Boston against Emmanuel College on Saturday, September 12, at 12:00 p.m. The Blue Jays then return home for a matchup against in-state foe Mitchell College on Tuesday, September 15, before embarking on a two-game road trip, starting with a trek to Standish, Maine, to face Saint Joseph's College of Maine on Saturday, September 19. The team then heads to Weston, Mass., to battle Regis College on Wednesday, September 23, before returning to West Hartford to meet Elms College on Tuesday, September 29.

As the calendar flips to October, the Blue Jays remain at home, hosting Colby-Sawyer College on Saturday, October 3, before heading to Henniker, N.H., on Saturday, October 10, to meet New England College at 1:00 p.m. USJ then returns home for two straight matches at the USJ Soccer Field, opening with a matchup against in-state and GNAC rival Albertus Magnus College on Tuesday, October 13, before completing the homestand with a game against Norwich University on Saturday, October 17.

The final three games of the 2026 regular season feature two on the road and one at home. USJ travels to Dean College in Franklin, Mass., on Wednesday, October 21, at 3:30 p.m. before traveling to Nashua, N.H., for a 2025 GNAC Championship Game rematch against Rivier University on Saturday, October 24. The team then rounds out the 2026 regular season at home on Tuesday, October 27, facing Lasell University.

The top eight teams in the conference standings will advance to the 2026 GNAC Tournament, beginning with the quarterfinal round on Saturday, October 31. The top four seeds will serve as hosts in the quarterfinal round. Semifinals are scheduled for Wednesday, November 4 and will be hosted by the two highest remaining seeds, with the championship game to follow on Saturday, November 7, hosted by the highest remaining seed.

The Blue Jays are coming off a 2025 season that saw the team win its second-straight and third overall GNAC Championship in program history. The Blue Jays, who finished the year with a record of 13-5-2, earned the No. 1 overall seed in the playoffs and secured home-field advantage throughout the postseason for the second consecutive season. The Blue Jays first defeated Albertus Magnus in the quarterfinals before defeating Saint Joseph's College of Maine to advance to the GNAC Championship Game. USJ then defeated Rivier in the championship to advance to the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Tournament. The Blue Jays were matched up with in-state foe Connecticut College in the first round, where the Camels put an end to USJ's 2025 campaign.
