Lapointe Tabbed GNAC Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week

WINTHROP, Mass. – Freshman attack Landon Lapointe (Lutz, Fla.) of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) men's lacrosse team has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon in its fifth weekly report of the 2026 season. The honor marks Lapointe's first GNAC weekly award of his career and the third for the Blue Jays this season.

Lapointe posted a solid offensive week for USJ, guiding the team to a 2-0 mark after scoring six goals. The freshman attack started the week with a career-best five goals during the Blue Jays' 15-5 win over Dean, before adding one goal during the 15-6 win at Emmanuel. This season, Lapointe has recorded nine points off eight goals and one assist, while corralling seven ground balls.

UP NEXT

The Blue Jays step out of conference play for the final time in 2026 when they host Nichols College on Wednesday, March 18. Opening faceoff against the Bison at the USJ Lacrosse Field in West Hartford, Conn., is set for 4:00 p.m.
