Men's Basketball Drops First Game of the Season, Falls to Trinity Saturday Afternoon

DARTMOUTH, Mass. - The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) men's basketball team dropped its first game of the 2023-24 season, falling to crosstown foe Trinity College, 70-58, in its final game of UMass Dartmouth's Lafrance Hospitality Classic Saturday afternoon at the Tripp Athletic Center in Dartmouth, Mass. With the result, the Blue Jays dip to 4-1 overall on the season, while the Bantams remain perfect and improve to 5-0 to start the year. Senior guard Tyree Mitchell (East Hartford, Conn.) paced the Blue Jays with a team-high 18 points in the setback.

Men's basketball takes a 10-day break away from competition before returning to the hardwood on Wednesday, November 29 for a non-conference contest at Babson College. Tipoff between the Blue Jays and Beavers is set for 7:00 p.m. inside Staake Gymnasium in Babson park, Mass.
