SEASON BY SEASON
2020-21: Despite the abbreviated season, Samuels still made an impact on both ends, finishing tied for fifth on the team in rebounds at over three per game. He also started in his first-ever game, a 78-71 setback to #6 Yeshiva. USJ went 2-2 on the year.

2019-20: Samuels added a new level of athleticism to the Blue Jays in his freshman season, often seen diving for loose balls and taking charges (most notably a late-game play to seal the conference championship). He was also the second-best shot-blocker on the team despite not starting a single game (1 BPG). The team reached new heights in 2019-20, winning 25 straight games, ranking 14th in the country, and winning the 2019-20 GNAC Championship over in-state rival Albertus Magnus, 88-84. The Blue Jays also played in their first-ever NCAA Tournament game, a 78-74 loss to Hobart.

Before USJ: Samuels played four years of varsity basketball at Franklin High School, in his hometown of Franklin, Mass. The Panthers had a four-year record of 67-13 with Samuels in a varsity uniform, and were MIAA State Championship runner-ups in 2017 and 2018. As a senior, Samuels won the HockomockSports.com Defensive Player of the Year, made Hockomock's all-first team, and was a Boston Herald All-Scholastic selection.
