Four Blue Jays Land on All-Region Teams

WEST HARTOFRD, Conn. — Four members of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) baseball team have been honored on All-Region Teams, announced Tuesday afternoon by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and D3baseball.com. The four Blue Jays honored include seniors Brandon Cahill (Meriden, Conn.) and JJ Fox (Killingworth, Conn.) and sophomores Jack Kane (West Hartford, Conn.) and Marcus Tarfano (Southington, Conn.).

Cahill, who was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Pitcher of the Year, enjoyed a stellar senior season for the Blue Jays, leading the pitching staff. The Blue Jays' ace finished the year with a 7-3 record, tossing eight complete games while posting a career-best 1.80 ERA. The senior right-hander also struck out a team-high 72 batters across 65.0 innings of work while posting a 1.02 WHIP. For his dominance on the mound, Cahill earned a spot on the D3baseball.com All-Region I First Team and an ABCA/Rawlings All-Region I Second Team nod.

Fox received D3baseball.com All-Region I Second Team recognition and ABCA/Rawlings All-Region I Third Team distinction after posting a .387/.472/.494 slash line while leading the team with 65 hits across 42 games. He also added 29 RBI, a team-high 15 doubles, and 26 walks. The honors mark the second consecutive season that the shortstop received All-Region recognition, having been named to both the ABCA/Rawlings and D3baseball.com All-Region I Third Teams a year ago.

Kane continued his standout career in 2026, earning a nod to the D3baseball.com All-Region I Third Team and ABCA/Rawlings All-Region I Second Team after slashing .365/.421/.539 across 42 games while totaling 61 hits, a team-high 45 RBI, eight doubles, five home runs, and 13 walks. The honors mark the second consecutive season that Kane received All-Region recognition, having been named to the ABCA/Rawlings All-Region I First Team and D3baseball.com All-Region I Third Team last season.

Tarfano enjoyed a breakout season for the Blue Jays in 2026, receiving a nod to the D3baseball.com All-Region I Second Team. The sophomore reliever was a reliable arm out of the bullpen for the Blue Jays, posting a team-best 0.96 ERA while recording 26 strikeouts. The right-hander made 18 appearances in relief, pitching 37.1 innings while posting a 2-1 record with eight saves.
