HOW IT HAPPENED

Clark broke through first in the bottom of the third inning, taking a 1–0 lead on a sacrifice fly from Cole Camara.

The Cougars added to their advantage in the fourth, plating four runs to extend the lead to 5–0.

Clark responded in the bottom half of the inning, scoring three runs to push the lead to 8–2.

Junior infielder Tyler Carlstrom (Rocky Hill, Conn.) stayed hot at the plate, delivering an RBI single through the right side to make it 8–3 in the top of the sixth.

The Cougars put the game out of reach in the bottom of the inning, erupting for five runs to seal the victory.
