USJ Sets New Record with 134 Named to GNAC Academic All-Conference Team
WINTHROP, Mass. – A school-record 134 student-athletes from the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) were named to the 2025–26 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Academic All-Conference Team, as announced by the league office on Friday afternoon.
To qualify for Academic All-Conference recognition, student-athletes must have completed at least two academic years, maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25, and compete in one of the GNAC's 20 championship sports.
Across the entire GNAC, 1459 student-athletes were honored—marking the ninth consecutive year the conference has recognized over 1,000 student-athletes for academic excellence.
For the fourth straight year, Lasell University led all schools with 148 selections, followed by Saint Joseph's College of Maine (141). USJ ranked third, its highest ever finish, reaching a new high with 134 selections across its 12 GNAC varsity programs.
Four additional institutions also topped the 100-mark: Emmanuel College (120), Regis College (119), New England College (118) and Norwich University (112).
Factoring in multi-sport athletes, baseball led all of USJ's programs with 24 selections. Softball followed with 18 selections, while field hockey and men's lacrosse (17) and women's soccer (13) rounded out the top five.
