ANNANDALE-on-HUDSON, N.Y. – Ciara Perez had a career-high 22 kills and added 17 digs as the University of Saint Joseph volleyball team won the first of two matches with a 3-2 victory over Sarah Lawrence Saturday at Bard College.
USJ had jumped out to a commanding two-set lead by winning 25-12 and 25-23, but Sarah Lawrence came back to win the next two 25-20 and 25-13 before Saint Joseph took the fifth, 15-9.
Emily Vigue (Lebanon, Conn.) had six kills, 13 digs and three aces for Saint Joseph, Megan Williams (Lakeville, Conn.) had 31 assists and Elizabeth Tuazon (Mystic, Conn.) had 13 digs.
Bard defeated Saint Joseph, 3-1 in the late match. Perez had 11 kills and Vigue seven and Tuazon had nine digs for the Blue Jays.
