Simmons Tops USJ Tennis

CAMBRIGE, Mass. – The University of Saint Joseph tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Simmons Monday afternoon in a GNAC match at Harvard University.

Simmons is 9-2 overall and leads the GNAC at 6-0. St. Joseph is 4-6 overall and 1-3 in the GNAC.

Rebecca Mauri (Meriden, Conn.) and Emely Chenard (Platt, Conn.) earned a team-best four games on the day in an 8-4 loss at No. 2 doubles. The Blue Jays were held to winning five games in singles.

USJ returns to action Wed. Oct. 16 at Mount Ida in a GNAC match at 3:30 p.m.
