Tennis Drops Match to Mount Holyoke
WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The University of Saint Joseph tennis team dropped a 9-0 match Thursday in a non-conference meeting with Mount Holyoke at St. Joseph.
Mount Holyoke improved to 2-1 on the season; USJ is 0-2.
The Blue Jays best performance came from freshman Rebecca Mauri (Meriden, Conn.), who was elevated to No. 2 singles. Mauro took the first set from Maya Sayarath, 6-3 before her opponent came back to win the second 6-2 and a tie-breaker, 10-4.
USJ, which is opening its season with five consecutive home matches, next plays Wed. Nov. 11 when it hosts Mitchell at 3:30 p.m.
