Tennis Team Downed by Western New England

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The University of Saint Joseph tennis team dropped a 9-0 verdict to Western New England University Saturday in a non-conference match at St. Joseph.

Serena Sundara (Windsor, Conn.) dropped a close, 6-3, 6-4 match at No. 4 singles and came the closest the Blue Jays would get to picking up a point on the afternoon.

WNEU is 5-8 overall; Saint Joseph is 2-11. The Blue Jays play their final match of 2012, hosting Mount Ida, Mon. Oct. 15 at 4 p.m.
