Cross County Runs at Holyoke

HOLYOKE, Mass. – Amie Ouellette (Plymouth, Conn.) was the first Blue Jay across the line and finished ahead of 65 runners Saturday as the University of Saint Joseph cross country team competed at the 17^th Annual James Early Invitational at Holyoke Community College.

In all 43 teams and 453 runners took part.

Pitoniak ran the 6km course in 32 minutes, 17.07 seconds. She was joined in the scoring column by teammates Kristin Burke (Randolph, Mass.), Ashley Figueroa (New Britain, Conn.), Bridget Saur (South Windsor, Conn.) and Serena Cochran (Ledyard, Conn.).

Middlebury won the team competition and Amherst senior Keri Lambert took individual honors in 21:30.11.

Saint Joseph runs at Western New England, Sat. Oct. 13 in a 10:30 a.m. meet.
