Andrew Fink will serve as the Interim Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach for the 2019 season at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ). Fink carries more than a decade of coaching experience with both men and women, and at the youth, high school, collegiate and professional level.
On the women’s lacrosse side, Fink has spent the last two years as the General Manager of the Boston Storm in the United Women’s Lacrosse League (UWLX), a professional women’s league founded in 2016. He will be leaving the GM role and joining the coaching staff this summer as an offensive coordinator.
Fink is also the co-owner of Xcel Lacrosse, the Largest Women’s League in New England. Xcel offers a variety of clinics (youth and adult, as well as beginner, intermediate and advanced level), presentations, preseason training, and post-graduate summer leagues on a regular basis. In 2010, Fink Coached the Xcel 18+ Women’s International Team that played in the Prague Cup in Prague, Czech Republic.
Fink and his collegiate coaching staff have presented ten times in nine years at the U.S. Lacrosse National Convention. As the sport's national governing body, LaxCon represents the best professional development conference in the sport. Presentation topics have included "Offense vs. Defense - Strategy and Adjustments", "Team Defense", and “Man-Down Defense", and "Team Defense: Playing Angles and Throwing Quality Checks."
Working with Championship Productions, Coach Fink has also created a video titled "Building a High-Pressure Zone Defense," which utilizes his expansive knowledge of the game.
A graduate of Rocky Hill High School in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, Fink went on to play lacrosse at the University of Hartford, where he led the Hawks to the 2000 American East Lacrosse Championship. Andrew and his wife Noelle reside in Cumberland, Rhode Island with daughter Micah and sons Meyer and Malakai.
