Basketball Falls at Conn., 94-51

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's basketball team put seven players in double figures Saturday to lead the Camels to a 94-51 victory over the University of Saint Joseph in a non-conference game Saturday at Luce Field House.

Conn. improved to 6-0 on the season; USJ is 0-8.

Kayla Guest (Newington, Conn.) scored a team-high 15 points to lead the Blue Jays. Stephanie DeJesus (Meriden, Conn.) netted 10 and Carlee Putnam (Niantic, Conn.) nine for USJ and Elisha Pertillar (Windsor, Conn.) had a team-best seven rebounds.

Payton Oiumette (Medfield, Mass.) led Conn with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Conn. outrebounded USJ 64-33 and led 26-8 after one quarter and 42-21 at halftime.

USJ is off until playing at the Westfield State Holiday Tournament, Jan. 2-3, 2016.
