WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - For the second consecutive year, the University of Saint Joseph softball team is hosting a clinic in conjunction with the Hartford Wolf Pack on Saturday, Feb. 3 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the XL Center in downtown Hartford. Youth softball players ages 8-18 will have the opportunity to work directly with the USJ players and coaching staff to hone their hitting, pitching, catching and defensive skills prior to the upcoming spring season.
Cost of attendance is $35 per player, which includes participation in the clinic as well as a game ticket to that night's AHL hockey game between the Hartford Wolf Pack and the Providence Bruins at 7 p.m. Friends and family of registered clinic players also can attend the hockey game at discounted ticket prices of $15, which can also be purchased at the "sign up" link provided above. Registration for the clinic will end on Jan. 24.
A percentage of all the proceeds from both the clinic and ticket sales will directly help the USJ softball team defray the cost of the team's upcoming annual spring training trip to the Fastpitch Dreams Classic in Myrtle Beach, S.C. from Mar. 10-16.
