Blue Jays Top Seed in ECAC Tourney
WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The University of Saint Joseph soccer team was awarded the top seed in the upcoming ECAC New England Tournament that starts Wednesday, Nov. 7.
Saint Joseph (14-2-2) will host No. 8 Regis (11-3-3) Wednesday at noon in a tournament quarterfinal.
Saint Joseph was the regular-season champion in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference for the first time and reached the league tournament semifinals for the fifth consecutive season. The Blue Jays have equaled a single-season school record with 14 wins. Regis finished second in the New England Collegiate Conference and lost in the NECC championship game to Lesley.
The tournament semifinals and finals are scheduled for Sat. Nov. 10 and Sun. Nov. 11 at the highest remaining seed.
